Creative Connect’s mission is to bring together professionals from the creative industries: VFX, animation, video games, film, and advertising, through events that foster knowledge sharing, meaningful connections, and collaboration opportunities, while remaining accessible to all and highlighting the Canadian creative industry.
Our Story
Creative Connect was founded in Montréal by Maurine Fauvert (Hoplite Studio) with the goal of creating friendly and accessible networking events for all creatives. While developing her own studio, she quickly realized that many industry events were expensive: a barrier for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and students. She also saw the need for a welcoming space where everyone could feel included in the conversation, knowing that networking isn’t always easy.
In response to the industry’s challenges, the events quickly brought together a tight-knit community, fostering collaboration and meaningful exchanges. Over time, the format evolved to include talks by industry experts such as Pascal Blais and Cyril Paciullo. Now structured as a nonprofit, Creative Connect is supported by numerous studios and professionals.
