First workshop Creative Connect

Yeah, the first Creative Connect workshop happened yesterday!

I was delighted to welcome Alex Epstein as our guest expert for this first workshop focused on writing for video games.

We learned a lot during the theory session:

• Narrative is not just about scriptwriting

• Emotion comes from the narrative

• How to create the illusion of choice in a game… even when the choice isn’t always real

A simple way to test if your story works:tell it to someone without using notes.If the person listens and stays interested, that’s a good sign.

After the theory session, participants joined a workshop where they were able to develop and pitch their projects at the end.Beyond learning, it created a real moment of playfulness, exchange, and sharing.
